My LG RH397D will not play a disk. It gives a navigation error.

Does not play disc

  1. No disc. - Load a disc into the tray.

  2. Disc has been loaded upside down. Place the disc with the label side up.

  3. Disc region code does not match region code of the player.

  4. Disc type is not the correct type to play.

  5. Disc is damaged or dirty. Clean the disc or try another.

  6. Moisture may be condensed inside the unit. Remove the disc and the leave the power on for one or two hours.

See the diagram attached.and if the problem persist. Lube the plastic parts with small grease or vaseline very carefully

I PUT IN THE DISC AND IT DOES NOT READ DISPLAY NO DISC

Try another disk, see if it plays. Try the one that won't work in another blu-ray player if possible. I tried to watch a disk I got at a redbox rental, it fouled 2 dvd players, but took it to a friend's house and it played just fine. When I went to return it, it wouldn't go back into the redbox machine. I had to try at another redbox machine and it took it. So could just be a problem with that disk.

Sony dvd player will not eject disc: "Disk Error" displays on screen then it will try to load over and over. It will not respond to open?

Try unplugging and re-plugging. If the does not work try to start the Player without letting it load. i.e. give it a separate command before trying to eject disc.

When a disc is loaded, it reads no disc, and disc cannot be played.

It is very possible that the lens motor has burnt out. Sometimes the capacitors on the motherborard short out causing the gear timing to go out..

The only thing you can do to fix this is to take the cover off. Get cotton swab and dip it rubbing alcohol and clean the glass laser eye with it.

Denon DCM 5000 error code

The disc is loaded upside-down in the disc rack or the disc is dirty or scratched, try another disc and make sure the top side (label side with printing) is facing towards the back of the rack, away from you. The bottom or data side should face out towards the front of the rack. If that does not work then your laser picups inside may need cleaning. Make sure your disc is clean and now scratches.

Recording Error "Can not record on this disk/E4 54037380

I had that exact same problem. I would record a bunch of dvds with no problems for months and then some and one day it doesn't work. Only this showed up E4 EA03738B. However I've found the solution. Instead of going out and returning the recorder or buying new dvds just purchase a Laser Lense Cleaner. It's a dvd cleaner. Works like a charm.

Disc Error

Try to clean the read laser and the laser pickup, by using a DVD cleaning disk. If this does not work you may have a misaligned laser or pickup.

That may sound like a canned response and it is, however it is a good start. I would also check the format of the video on the DVD-RW, and make sure the DVD player is set to display that format.  Also might I suggest that you try the documented Disk loading instructions. I know that sounds stupid, but I was working on a customers DVD player one day and I downloaded the manual, and I was shocked to find out that I was not following the recommended loading procedure, once I did that all of the disks worked (stupid? yes, but that's how things are now).
As I said try to clean the pick-up and laser, check the format of the DVDs, and then follow the recommended loading instructions.

I hope this helps
Thank you,

try a cleaner disk, if that doesnt work, junk it and buy something better than this one...cheap dvd players have a habit of not working very long....
