Adjustments for picture size unavailable

Option 1 - reorder the remote online
Option 2 - test different universal remotes and codes. The easiest way is to use the smartphone universal remote apps. You may eventually find the right code for your television that allows you to access the menu and the feature you are looking for.

Good luck.

Zenith tv is blurry

There are two adjustments on your flyback. If there is not an access in the back of the set to turn the adjustments then you need to take the back off of the tv. One adjustment is for brightness and the other is your focus. Just slowy turn the adjustment right or left until the picture gets clearer and your done.

1) I have a Sony KV-32FS13 that has a green tint in the picture. Does any oneknow how to access the service menu for this model? I tried other adjustments and I can't get rid of the annoying green...

Code 5 is "AKB error". AKB, or auto kine bias, is a cicuit that monitors the three color guns of the picture tube (red, green and blue) and tries to adjust them for proper color balance. If it can't, the picture is blanked (usually) and the timer/standby light blinks 5 times. When the color drives aren't balanced, you see a color tint in the picture like you're describing.

There might be a problem in the AKB circuit, or the picture tube may just be old enough that the AKB circuit has run out of adjustment range. If the tube is at fault, you should consider replacing the set. A new tube will cost nearly as much as a new 32-inch LCD TV, and you'll need to pay someone to install it and set it up. There are special tools required to perform the convergence which gets the color guns aligned with the face of the tube so they hit the right colors.

If you'd like to try tinkering with the service menu adjustments, this site explains how to access the menu and gives a list of settings.

How do I adjust the screen to the TV - I've looked in the MENU options and can not adjust the height of the screen. In other words - I can not read the score ticker on the bottom of the screen

Your sanyo tv may have service mode adjustments. It can be taken according to the sevice code options, which can be get from service journals available in the market. no menu adustment is there to adjust the picure linearity, height , subbrightness control so on. All adjustments are coded and have critical measurements which can be adjusted through service mode with the help of remote control. The remote control should be orginal to access service mode. Duplicate may not work properly.

Onkyo TX-SR706 Setup Display Problem

For adjustments to receiver you can always run a component or composite cable to your plasma tv. After adjustments are made just return to HDMI input.

How do I access the menu without a remote?

You don't. A good "universal remote" available from Radio Shack (Phillips) for about $15 will provide access to all TV adjustments. Easy to program for all TV models, VCR's, DVD players, etc. About $35 + S&H for the Sharp remote replacement.

Red horizontal curvy lines

You need to turn the voltage on the red tube down slightly, also you would need to adjust focus to compensate for the lower voltage to the red tube. On the left and right bottom side of speaker cover are two round covers, take them out and there are 2 1/4" hex screws take them out carefully take cover off, there is another service cover same hex screws remove. You will see the focus block on the right side, tubes are labled on block. 2 knobs for each tube. Make voltage adjustments while tv is on a black screen, then for focus, turn color all the way off in the menu, and adjust focus until it looks right in black and white. These adjustments should only be very small; if alot of adjustment is needed, you may have other issues.

You need the factory remote only for this model of set!

Contact the service rep for your set and order a new remote.

As for the service mode, most RCA sets require an external service interface.

In many models of sets, the results and commands are in HEX. You will need the service manuals, hardware interface, and instrumentation to do proper setups and adjustments.

As for accuracy of adjustments, from factory these sets were very accurate. If there are changes, this is due to failing parts, and not from adjustments going out. The setups are all uPC controled and are exact. The set should be serviced to make it work properly, and not adjusted to offset faults.

Night and indoor scenes are too dark

If the set is less then 2 years old it should still be under warranty. As I understand there is a 2 year warranty on this set. There is some adjustments to adjust on and inside this DLP TV set but they are not customer adjustments and should not be attempted without a service manual. They are on a service menu for the tech to access and adjust. My best suggestion would be to contact the manufacture from a contact number in the owners manual or from the store where you purchaced the set from or from a number I found for a main contact. Main support number 800-294-6400. Good Luck
