It's more than likely a hardware problem you should get checked out if the screen is like that no matter where it is, whether BIOS or on startup. Try going into BIOS and resetting everything to it's default settings to see if that fixes anything.

My laptop screen has divided into 3 parts when i logged in the morning. What shall i do now?

Try playing around with your screen resolution. Make it smaller and then if it's fixed put it back on the recommended size.
If you're using Windows 7 right-click on your Desktop and chose Screen Resolution. Start from there.
There are many similar issues with Toshiba all over the web and I hope you have a warranty for that piece because it could be screen problem... :/
I hope the first will help you out...

I have a Toshiba Satellite C655. The screen is malfunctioning as you can see. The screen has 3 vertical striped lines which has divided the screen into separate parts. The cursor will not pass through

Had this problem once and a found out how to fix it. It's a hardware prob, to fix this prob your Pc has to be on while doing it, this way you can see if the problem has been fixed or not. You need to unscrew all screws on the shell of the screen. Then you remove the two screws found at the bottom of the screen they are found close to the hinge.
Now the back part of the shell should be off. once that is off just disconnect the silver cable that is connected to the screen and reconnect it again and bend and squeeze it to see if it is a shortage in the wire. If not remove it once more and reconnect it again. (should be fixed now)
Use a strip of tape to hold it in place and your done. use it for a couple hours to ensure it fully functional then put it back together and you're done.

This is a very common problem with nVidia geforce 8400 and 8600 cards.
Serach google with this "Defective Nvidia geforce card" and you will see lots of user facing same problem in HP, Dell etc..

I too have an Hp laptop with nvidia geforce 8400. I have faced similar problems(screen got divided into 8 parts) in past for 3 times. Every time I have to replace my motherboard at HP service center.... It is caused by overheating of laptop that destroys the nvidia graphic card.
Go to the service Center and ask for a motherboard replacement.
hope this will help.....

Laptop screen was divided into 6 small parts

have the same problem. if updating the graphics driver doesnt work then it probably is the same as my problem.
HP service center said it's the graphics card or video card but since the video card is embedded in the motherboard, then you will have to replace the motherboard.
