Re:
First you need to uplaod your video to your PC using Microsoft movie maker.
1. Capture from video device
connect your device by cable USB, Firewire
2. Edit your video
You can put Titles, effects etc...
3. Finish the movie by saving on your PC or Burn to your CD
Good luck

The best way to do this is to download the video onto a computer. Using video software (there is a lot available on the internet), edit your video and then send it to the DVD burner.
you need to open a video capture program like windows movie maker to capture the video and audio or I have adobe premier pro 8.0 it will allow you to edit and add features and burn DVD's and render the movie and burn to DVD with special effects.
I use Handbrake ( http://handbrake.fr ) to turn the minidvd files into Mpeg4 files. I have a canon dc 220 and I hook it up to my computer with the supplied USB cable. I then copy the files onto my laptop and use Handbrake to convert them to the mpeg4 format.
i assume your using firewire-not usb right? use windows movie maker in xp or vista -should transfer ok if machine is pretty current-if very underpowered with little ram memory expect problems
Well what i did was i got a ati video card that had built in video inputs (and it also had a tunner) plugged the camcorder up to it and recored what was on the camcorder on to the pc (ati came with a utility that made this possible). after the movie was on the PC i recored it to dvd with nero. I think you could also use movie maker that comes with windows xp
you need to use another program for import of videos as the movie maker in windows is funny with these download pinnacle studio 10 or other file that will allow xvid import if camcorder came with software then use this to convert from to mpeg format then you can import to windows movie maker.
hope this has helped
