Question about Toshiba 43H70 43" Rear Projection Television

1 Answer

SONY KP51WS500 bought Feb. 2003 from Circut City

The other day the tv started to flash every once in a while. LAter that night the picture would go out completely and then a few seconds later the tv would shut off and the light would blink 5 times. The next day it worked fine until that night. Then the screen went red and would fade until it turned off. I called SOny and they said it is a power probelm . We live in Japan and don't speak th elanguae so a repairman would be hard to come by. ANy suggestions for what we might do? Alyson

Possible clod solder connection in the scan b+ voltages, contact sony and get them to check their dealer store locations in your area and have them send a message to the dealer describing your fault to them also.

I have a 2003 sony kp51ws500 television and there's a timer on the tv and it won't turn on. A red light blinks 6 times then nothing happens. I unplugged, I hit the reset button, nothing happen

read the instruction manual and see how to operate.
if the timer is for to sleep, the problem will be the IC associates with him, you must see the block diagram and w.diagram. and tracking the signal.
go to www. retrevo.com and download the diagram. God bless you

Defective light engine. Contact Sony Support because they extended the light engine warranty for some models. Sony technical support number can be found in your Owner's manual. Thanks :)
