HLN507W Samsung DLp Horiz. lines

I have HLP507W Samsung. 6.5 yrs old. have replaced lamp at 3 years and 6 yrs. hrs was total of 8295 last Oct 08 replacement. Had to replace the color wheel in Dec 08. All worked very well for 2 months Then got vertical lines about every 1/4 inch thru the picture. unplugged power for a while and tryed. then had good picture. This lasted about 2 weeks then got unreadable picture vertical and horiz bars of color. Unplugged then would be okay till turned off and on. Now I cannot recover just horiz jagged lines. audio okay. Have checked for loose plugs, wires with no avail. Any ideas? before changing color wheel, no problem except the loud whining noise.

I am having issue with my TV it won't turn on and I have a flashing red status light keep flashing can anyone help

Hi, if your tv is between 1-4 yrs old and havent replaced the lamp it might be time to do so.Mitsubishis uses Osram lamps to light up the screen and tend to last from 3000-4000 hrs normally 1-3 yrs.The Red light indicator usually indicates its time to replace the lamp.Heres the lamp you would need http://www.discount-merchant.com/Mitsubhishi-915P027010-915P027A10-Replacement-p/mitsubishi-915p027010-lamp.htm?1=1&CartID=0 On the same link it shows you how to replace it ,have a blessed day.

Samsung 60" DLP - 6

Hello.
It looks like you ignored lamp replacement in your TV. It have to be replaced every 2.5 years of average use. It's like oil change in a car. Regular scheduled service.
You can read info about lamp replacement in your TV owner's manual, buy lamp on-line and replace it by yourself to save some money.
Regards.

My Samsung 60 inch DLP TV turns its self off several times an hour. Eventually is stays on. What's the problem?

Hi,do you hear any strange noises? If you hear clicking or like wanting to turn on it could be the board that powers the lamp it's called the ballast. Here's the instructions to replace it :http://www.fixyourdlp.com/guides/samsung/bp47-00033a.php But if you don't hear any strange noises,tv is around 6000 hrs,2-4 yrs it could be time to replace the lamp.Have a bless one!

TV screen goes black, 43 lites appear and TV shuts off after 2 to 3 hrs of operation. It will restart OK however. 56" set is 4 yrs old, orig lamp in TV

If you have never replaced the lamp it is most likely to be the problem. Most lamps last 2-3 years under normal use.

LAMP JUST WENT OUT

I have a 57" DLP and have replaced the bulb 3 times in 2&1/2 years. I'm not possitive but I think I have 6-800 hrs on it total. Mitsubishi claims it a part they expect to go out, but the told me they typically last about ten yrs. If you have proof of purchase they will send you a new one for free, otherwise it'll cost you about $150 on ebay.
