  • Launch internet browsers such as chrome, firefox or safari
  • Type mywifiext.net or 192.168.1.250 in the address bar at top of your internet browser
  • Press Enter to see the New Netgear extender setup page.
  • Fill up the required details to create an account and fill up time and region details.
  • Click Next and let Netgear wifi extender to search 7 detect all available networks around you.
  • Select your existing wifi router network that you wish to extend and click Next

Have you first established the connection between the Router and the Extender?
If so, have you connected e.g. a laptop to the Extender?
So if your WLAN networks SSID is NETGEAR, the WLAN network of the Extender is NETGEAR_EXT and you have to connect the laptop to NETGEAR_EXT.
Then you have to open your favorit internet browser and have to type in www.mywifiext.net, which I guess is a buildin Setup-Assistant.If this doesn't work, make sure, your laptop is configured, to get an ip address automatically via DHCP.

so connect ethernet cable to router
then go to device manager
and click wifi card, update, so the MS PnP driver servers can up date the wifi card drivers
then log in , after eithernet cable pulled.
same answer for any PC with dead wifi.

toshiba is dead for support. here are the new bones
