Solution #2 Above about unplugging overnight is the only way I found to cure this problem.

I had exactly the same problem after a power outage. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling sw and drivers, and also various ways shutting the system down and starting again, but nothing worked. Then, I turned off the printer first, unplugged usb connection from the printer and unplugged the power. Then closed down the system the normal way. Let the entire system stay like that for about 6 hours, overnight. In the morning started the system. Connected power and usb to printer. Turned on. EVERYTHING STARTED WORKING again like before. It seems that this unplugging and waiting reset the printer to previous values. IF this does not work for you then try HP's resetting of the printer methods. If you contact them by e-mail, they will send you instructions. Good Luck. THG

Cleaning your appliance may very well take care of your problem. But if not make sure the drivers and the software have been installed. If they appear to be installed then uninstall them and restart your computer and reinstall them. If you have the same problem then take to a qualified service center.

You might look for objects stuck in your machine rollers and gears. But examine them carefully for there are many little parts that can easily be broken or bent with very little force at all.

My Fujitsu Asta12lcc (indoor unit) has stopped cooling, with both operation and timer lights flashing 5 times. What causes this error? Is this worth repairing, or so i need new unit?

I’m seeing 5 red 5 green flash is compressor failure. Not sure if this is your unit or not. Cycle power to outdoor unit 30seconds and resume. Start with a fan only operation no heat/cool. Let unit run, if no issue then begin and heat/cool cycle. If problem occurs then likely narrows issues to outside. Hope this helps!!

Wash started cycle. Wife stopped it at beginning of cycle. Now washer will not start at at. Lid switch is good. Will not spin, rinse, restart wash, nothing, not even clicking.

Does unit have a reset button? If it has manual control for cycle did you try going clockwise to the start position and then restarting?

If she stopped the cycle by opening the door perhaps that switch is still stuck in an open position.

GDM12 reach-in just cycle clicks when plugged in - not cooling

Clicking like this is usually a problem with the compressor start device. They are prone to failing and the overload protector is cycling to hopefully protect the compressor from burning out. If the start device is a solid state device if you remove it from the compressor it should not rattle. If it does it is bad and will need to be replaced. Installing a new strat device should get it back up and running.

The unit I'm working on has a 1 month old 8145-20ex and now the unit wont go into defrost - The compressor and the evap do not stop and the heaters do not energize. I'm thinking the defrost termination...

Copy following links:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Paragon-timers-and-manuals.html#8145
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/How-to-test-Paragon-8145-timer.pdf
8145-20 is 240Volt defrost timer.
The defrost cycle will not begin. This implies that trippers are not in place, or trippers are worn out.... or limit switch is stuck ON or solenoid inside timer has gone bad.
Test across terminal N to X for 240Volt. Because voltage here will stop defrost cycle by activating solenoid inside timer, but continuous voltage will also stop next defrost cycle from beginning. Disconnect wire on terminal X and see if defrost cycle will begin at next tripper. If defrost begins, then limit switch is bad.

I have an ASKO D3250 and it has recently started making a loud noise from the pump area. It starts as soon as the cycle begins and doesn't stop even if you open the door. It seems to stop about 90 seconds...

All power and sounds should stop when any dishwasher door is opened.
Your door switch may be stuck causing it to continue.
The 90 second sound at the beginning of the cycle is the water pump extracting any residual water before taking on clean water for the wash cycle.
Any excessive noise from the drain pump could be debris in the pump. e.g. broken glass.
You can remove the pump and check it for blockage or any foreign object.

Ge super capacity plus washer. Mod wlse3150a0ww. no matter what setting it always starts on rinse then goes to spin.It also will not drain.

If the washer is stopped mid cycle it will default to rinse and spin. It will then get stuck in a loop. It is necessary to reset the electronics. Unplug the electrical cord from the unit. Wait 30 seconds. Turn the cycle selector all the way around clockwise. Turn it again and set it on any setting accept rinse or spin. Plug the unit in. It should begin a new cycle and be working normally.

Washer stuck

Hard Reset - In some cases the control can be non-functioning or may not accept activation from the control panel. To clear and restart the control follow the these steps:

* Unplug or turn the circuit breaker off for 30 seconds.
* Reconnect the unit to the power source by turning the breaker back on or plugging the unit back into the wall outlet.
* Press the Pause/Cancel/Stop button twice to clear the "PF" in the display.
* Start a short cycle to check the operation of the machine by selecting a cycle and pressing and holding the start button until the machine starts.

Hp 2410 just clicking

When you power on the printer.
See if the scanner light move to the right and then keep on clicking.
If this happen, the scanner head is unable to find home position.
You will have to clean the strip under the glass.
If this only start to happen recently, you could unplug the printer and wait 1 hour.
Replug in the printer will at times stop the clicking.
You can go to http://h10025.www1.hp.com
Enter c00553775 into the search block.
