I've connected an Epson Stylus SX600FW into my home network. The printer works fine. The scanner doesn't. The scanner driver loads OK but testing the scanner connection shows no scanner.
The scanner works OK by direct USB coinnection. My question is;
is there such a thing as a Channel number setting on the router which would be blocking the bi-directional data flow?

My solution was that Epson Scan was set to connect via network instead of local. (All was working fine, then it quit-something changed this setting) Try this, go to start, choose all programs, choose Epson folder, choose Epson Scan, choose Epson Scan Setting. In the pop up box set the connection to local or network, whichever is appropriate. Close the window and open photoshop and all works fine. It could be that your problem is the opposite of mine- I try switching this to the other setting even if the change is wrong, then switch it back to see if that works too.
I hada the same problem. I used the settings on the actual printer rather than through the software to input the information it needed and It works fine now. I was able to set it up on my husbands laptop without any problems, I just added his laptop through installing the software on his laptops as it had picked up the signal and was showing in the Network and sharing centre on Windows Vista premium. Hope this helps. I think you need to take the wire out now and now load it as wireless. You need to use the wire first to connect then take it out to connect to the wirelss network. My router is a Sky router.
Pls check for updated driver for scanner on support.epson.com, because i believe that this printer doesn't have a wireless scanner server so the scanner will not work wirelessly.
