Microwave "popped" when heating coffee. It will appear to be working, but nothing heats up. Lights and turntable work. Is this something I should attempt to fix or should I trash it and get a new one. It's less than 2 years old. Thanks
When I close the door on the microwave it just keep spinning and the light be on and when I press the stop button it goes out but soon as I take my finger on the button it does it again and then a L pops up on the screen

I have the same problem with mine!!! I spent 58 dollars to have a 6 dollar diode replaced. Now 8 months later... same prob. Replaced again myself and working fine again. Just make sure you label the wires while working on it. I didn't and it cost me 2 new fuses! Hope this helps.

According to the booklet that came with the oven, if the problem's with the magnetron or touch pad, it's covered for 5 years. I called Sears repair, they came out, said it was the magnetron. They had to order a part and are installing it tomorrow. I only had to pay the $49 service call. Thanks for the suggestion about the diode. If it happens again, we'll try that.
