My grandsons mp3 player got wet it went through full cycle of washing machine..will it dry out and still work. its a rca th11 series
My daughter's Zune went through the washing machine and dryer in May 2008. I checked the internet & it looked pretty bleak. I couId see water inside the screen area & it would not turn on at all. I decided to just leave it sitting on the counter for awhile instead of just throwing it away. Three weeks later I tried to turn it on & got a low battery display. We plugged it in, charged it and it has been working ever since (it is now August 2008).

Doubtful if the battery was inside it. If it runs off AA / AAA batteries try replacing the battery once it dries out. Try setting the unit outside in the heat for about a day. Even a little water inside it will be bad.

My Sony player went thru the wash and was in overalls pocket for 3 days b4 I discovered it. Spray contact cleaner thru the headphone socket until it ran out of the unit. Left it to dry out for a few hours but still no luck. A friend advised me to puff the fumes of nail polish remover into the unit( DO NOT POUR THE LIQUID INTO YOUR PLAYER!!) Presto it fired up and is now charging and playing fine. The contact cleaner (iso alcohol) will help remove and corrosion on the pcb and contacts inside the player.
