Question about Philips 42PF5521D 42 in. HD-Ready Plasma Television
Hi, I've just got a Philips 42PF5521D. I've got Tiscali/Homechoice cable. When I access any View on Demand, Movie rental channels, etc. the screen gets horizontal lines/bands across it. This stops as soon as you exit out of the VOD channels. All other viewing is fine. Any help would be appreciated.
Could be a couple of things causing this.
1) Obvious, but I assume that you subscribe to these services, because otherwise it could be the encryption.
2) Make sure that you have the set-top box connected directly to the TV, and not through an external recorder (VCR, DVD etc)
This would be a problem if the services were copy protected in the same way DVDs are.
You could also check the settings on the set-topbox. Make sure the video output is set to RGB.
