Error i have an rca five cd changer i was playing some cds (i had 5 in at the time) and tried to change it to the next cd but all it did was make a noise like it was changing the cds and then it said ERROR i have no idea what is wrong with it it wont even open i tried to use the manual but it said nothing about this except to cchange it to tuner and change it back to cd so i have no idea i would appreciate some help thank you!

The changer is fubar and repair is not cost effective.

You have an RCA 5 disc CD changer and it reads CDS. Then what is the fault?

THis happens when the drawer is jammed. Turn off the unit and turn it on and then use the disc skip from the remote so that the cds inside will change and then press the Open button.

CD player is not working. Motor will not unload or load discs. It will play CDs fine but cannot change them. Unit will need to be repaired by an audio specialoist or replaced.

hi i recently bought a lexus ls400 and it the trunk it has a ten disc cd changer by the steering wheel in the car is this little black box that keeps reading E-99 evertime i press play on this odd little box that is the control device to make the cd's play i've put the cd 's in the changer upside down right side up testing it and still the little black cd player play button/disc change button keeps saying E-99 my question is, is it a fuse or is this cd player thing near the stearing wheel just a peiece of garbage please contact me at [email protected] if you have any idea why this is doing this because i can't play any cd's theres no cd player where the cd/tape decks usually are in cars in the middle above the column shift. it would mean the world to me if you could help me out with any information as to why this brand new sony ten disc cd changer is giving issues to the cd player thing next to the stearing wheel on the right it's kind of hidden but it just won't stop saying e-99 no matter how brand new a cd i put in the changer thank you your friend john bunce

Ok this may seem barbaric but it worked on mine.......Hit the top of the stereo a couple of times and see if it corrects the problem.

You need to clean up the cd sistem and put it on time again

I think the laser is mis-aligned or the laser unit needs replacing. If you are able to check this for yourself otherwise find a competant technician. Hope this helps.

THE IDC-A09 CAN BE REMOVED BY INSERTING THE STANDARD PHILIPS REMOVAL KEYS INTO THE TWO HOLES EACH SIDE OF THE UNIT AND FORCING THEM OUTWARDS SLIGHTLY AND THEN THE UNIT SHOULD SLIDE FORWARD
