1 Answer

Panasonic PT47-wx49 My 47in panasonic tv will play for about 45 min or so then powers itself off,the only way to get it back on is to unplug it.I have talked to a repair person and he said to hit it on the sides to wake up the sleeping componets, and that the problem is in componet marked Q406 and one of the leads needs resoldered.Has anyone herd of this, and help me find it.

Well sound like the reair tec. is right but don't just look for that area scan and resolder the whole board for open cold solder joints

Panasonic pt52lcx15 TV. Recently, after approximately 5 min. The TV turns off. Is this some sort of power supply issue? Or, something else?

Try this.

Unplug the tv. take off the back panel. vacuum or blow out the dust with a can of compressed air (@ $3 at Staples). A lot of the projection tvs had a thermal sensor which would turn the tv off if it got to hot.

That is also a good time to clean the lenses. Be careful not to move them out of alignment. My tv worked like new after I did those things.

Panasonic 42 tcp42x3 plasma tv turns off after 5 minutes solid red ligh no blinking will turn back on if I unplug and plug back in but off in 5 mins again

The fact if unplugged etc and tries to function means a micro related problem---if unplugging all units for a while does not change this then suspect a power supply or main board (controls all functions).

Tv not turning on

You can try leaving the TV unplugged for 30 - 45 mintues so the TV discharge and reset itself.
If this doesn't work, the TV may have just a blown fuse inside that just needs replacing. Or, it's going to be a power supply board related problem.

Turns on and immediately shuts off

check for sleep mode and whether the timer for sleep mode is on or not, if sleep mode is on lets say 30 min or 5 min , ur TV will turn off automatically after that much time
