Question about GE JKP15 Electric Single Oven

Control Panel All the display fields in the control panel light are lit and I cannot get a response from any of the touchpad buttons. The oven is 8 years old and the control panel was replaced about 2 years ago after getting the F7 error. - I have tried the fix you ascribed to the F7 error by placing paper between the ribbon and housing, but that had no affect. - The power has been turned off and on to the oven several times, but the display always comes up the same. - I unplugged the ribbon from its holder and wiped it, but still the same problem. Is there something else to try or do I need another control panel, control module, or a new oven? Thanks!

When I unplugged the control panel, the lights were still on. I assume the problem is with the electronic control module, so I ordered a new one.

If the ribbon cable has two sections, try placing the slip of paper between the sections and down into the slot as far as possible. Other wise try removing the connector. If the displays clears up, the problem is in the touchpanel. If it doesn't, the problem is in the electronic control module.

There is no other way to get around that but to replae the control once agsin. It sounds like there are some stuck touchpads or the control itself is shorted. either way you need to replace it.

Whirlpool Accubake panel completely dim and comes to life when oven is warm

The capacitor on the back of the display is failing. Heat warms up the gel inside it. The capacitor can be replaced by an electronics tech or you can buy a new control board display..

Have a Whirlpool Gold dbl. oven. Last Fri. night oven started beeping and display the E0F2 code. Turned off brk'r till next a.m., turned on only to have in a rolling sequence going from 350 upper oven...

Good Evening!
Do you have the full model number of your appliance? Do all of the buttons beep when pressed? If not, unfortunately, the touchpad on your unit may have failed again. An E0-F2 is a stuck key error. The only way to fix this issue would be to replace your touchpad. Your more than welcome to send in your touchpad and control board for evaluation and testing. Contact us for more information [email protected]. We also have replacement touchpads for your oven if the original OEM part is discontinued.

My stove keeps beeping and showing F1-8 on the display and telling me to call a tech. What is the problem. This slide in stove is abou 6 years old.

Hello,

The F1-8 error code means that a button on the touchpad is stuck in and the touchpad needs to be replaced. The computer runs a self check on the oven several times per hour and it thinks a button on the touchpad has malfunctioned. Depending on your exact model the touchpad is a seperate peice or it has been intergrated into the control panel, so if it's seperate only it needs to be replace,if it's intergrated the whole control board needs to be replaced.

Hope this helps ya

LGR3330ADB Admiral touchpad display does not work

Usually this is due to a bad main clock/electronic control in the control panel but the only way to know for sure is to do some electrical testing with a volt/ohm meter and the wiring diagram located within the appliance. If possible use the meter and the wiring diagram to check input/output voltages looking for discrepancies between the diagram and the actual meter readings.

My oven is in lock mode after i had cleaned it. I can't open it now and the lock light is on.

Control panel and oven door lock
The oven door and controls can be locked to avoid unintended use of the oven. The oven doors and controls cannot be locked if the oven is in use, or the oven temperature is 400°F (205°C) or above. The current time of day will remain in the display when the controls and oven doors are locked.
To lock the control panel and both oven doors:
  1. Press and release Cancel.
  2. Press and hold upper oven Cancel and Cook & Hold for 3 seconds. “Off” appears in the display and “Lock” flashes while the controls and oven doors lock. Both oven doors lock. “Lock” remains lit in the display.
To unlock the control panel and both oven doors:
  1. Press and hold upper oven Cancel and Cook & Hold for 3 seconds. “Off” disappears from the display and “Lock” flashes while the controls and oven doors unlock.
