Activision Guitar Hero X-Plorer Controller for Xbox 360 Logo
Anonymous Posted on Apr 25, 2013

Xbox 360 guitar hero controller will not

The guitar is unresponsive to any action and the number 1 & 2 lights around the xbox button are solid green. I tried unplugging the controller but that only turned off the lights for about 20-30 seconds.

Power on your Xbox console and allow it to load to the Xbox dashboard.

Press the green Xbox controller on the guitar. All four lights surrounding the button should start flashing.

Guitar hero guitar wont work for xbox

For a wireless guitar, press the Sync buttons on both the guitar and the xbox. (The lights should swirl around the xbox logo on the controller and the power button on the console. The console's button is on the front near the CD drive and the controller's should be near where the xbox logo is). You'll know the pairing was successful if each component suddenly flashes and the controller shows only a single light on.

I cant get the guitar to sync up with the my 360. it lights up but keeps flashing because it can't connect.

You need to pair the guitar to the Xbox just like you would any other new controller. Press the sync button on the guitar (usually located near the Xbox Guide button) and the sync button on the Xbox (located to the right of the slot for memory unit 2) and they should sync up.

I cant figure out how to sync my guitar to play guitar hero

First of all make sure your guitar hero controller turns on and flash's. Next, you will see at the bottom of the guitar hero controller there is a little button. On your Xbox 360 there should also be a syncbutton which you use to sync controllers. Hold the sync button down on your Xbox and at the same time on your guitar hero controller as well. You should see that the lights on your xbox and controller spin round and then flash a few time in till displaying one light next to the appropriate number. Please note that you cannot use a Rock band controller on Guitar hero. If You controller still does not connect then try changing the batteries in case they are low, but if the problem continues to persist then you shall have to call Xbox customer support by going to www.Xbox.co.uk .

Just bought a second hand guitar, turns on lights

Have your synchronized the controller to the xbox? To do this, there is a button on the front of the xbox and one usually on the bottom of the guitar hero controller. hold both of these buttons, the lights will circle then when its synced they should stop and resume being player indicators. If this doesn't work, return the guitar to the shop you bought it from.

Xbox 360 - Guitar Hero Aerosmith

That is a very common problem and here is a step by step solution. Press the little button on the Xbox 360 with a wireless sign on it. It's on the front in between the memory card slots and the power button.

After you've done that the Xbox lights should go like around in circles.

Hold the button with the same picture on it on the Guitar controller its on the edge near the LAN port and microphone port

Then they should sync Happy Gaming to you.
