My printer ran out of staples and I need instructions on how to load more staples in it

That would depend on the model of finisher you have attached to the machine. If it is a larger finisher attached to the side of the machine open the Sorters front cover and the inner door should have a sticker with instructions. If you have an internal finisher it can be the same concept open cover and load the staples as show on the cover. There is also another internal finisher where a gray handle is pulled to slide the finisher out and the staples load into the upper rear area of the finisher.

remove the spring loaded magazine from bottom rear of unit by pushing down on piece about two inches below curve section of rear end of handle push down gently and pull to rear staples go in front ofin same slot from which this magazine is removed load normally two clips if your dead empty when you return the spring follower back into place it follows the staples if if doesnt go all the way in you probably have to many remove some good luckd

frst: did you set the staples according to the instructions?
second: try the few times remove and insert staple cartridge in and out, until you heare the loading clicks.
third: check the staple holder for damadges or residuals of staples.

Try loading with fewer staples to see if that helps and make sure there are no loose staples jamming the mechanism.

pull the finisher out

you will see the staple in the end of it

pull up the staple cartridge using the green handle

then insert the new one

This might help. I did the same thing with my laserjet printer.
Staples has laserjet cleaning sheets. I ran several sheets through the printer after I pulled most of the transfer paper out.
The sheets are one use sheets so, you will need a few.They are impregnated with cleaning fluid on textured paper.
These sheets clean the entire paper travel path.

Does your copier have the finisher or saddle to have staples? There should be instructions in the user manuals for replacing staples. If you don't have the user manuals, I'd ask Canon to purchase replacement copies or look on the web.

Follow instruction on door. Push in on both sides of staple cart pull the top up install the new staple pack dont pull string on staple pack until its inside. (Staples on the floor:)) Don't throw away the plastic cart itself insure the arrows on the new staple pack match the direction on the old run or the staples will be upside down and not able to get out of the pack
