I have the same problem with my pebl which occured when i had a replacement cover fitted. I believe there should be a copper wire attached to the earpiece inside which has gone missing during the process. as of yet unsure where to attach the new one.

Everything is working fine except the ear piece

The other post refers to the process that allows you to use speaker only, instead of automatically selecting earpiece. Unfortunately, this will not resolve your issue, as it appears that your earpiece has a loose connection and must be repaired, or you can continue to use speakerphone, bluetooth (if capable), or wired headset.

I cannot hear thru the earpiece - only thru the speakerphone

I would say it is broken. try calling Motorolla or taking it into your carrier store!

When making or receiving calls, i can only hear with "speakerphone", not through regular earpiece

These phones can only do one set of speakers at a time. If you want to hear through the regular earpiece take it off speakerphone.

Razr v3x screen suddenly won't work even with phone turned on. Yesterday it was working just fine then this morning lcd is dead. I can hear it when somebody sends me an sms but I cannot read it since...

check the oem ribbon that runs to screen. the design of phone hinge is faulty, and usually cuts the ribbon that runs up to the screen after months of openings and closings, preventing it from lighting up. sometimes its the earpiece wires on the ribbon that get cut which prohibits u from hearing anything when u hold the phone to your ear and u have to switch to speaker...bummer..sooo my friend, CHECK THE RIBBON.

Razr Ear Receiver Not Working

hi

most prob regarding that matter is lost contact in your earpiece. try opening your phone and check its connection. if connection is good then maybe your earpiece is defective.

if everything is fine then it must be the flex connector have a prob...

try it and inform me what happens...

Earpiece

the speakerphone speaker is actually just kinda resting inside the phone. If you have dropped it recently it might have just become disconnected and you can have a proffessional put it back in place for you. If you really want to attempt this yourself you can email me at [email protected] and I will send you a guide on how to do this. I don't recomend it though
