Lenovo quick launch has stopped working

Yes, you do need to reinstall your audio driver and here's how to get the driver and install it:

1. Go to www.consumersupport.lenovo.com
Note: If it's your first time, it will ask for your country or region. Please select the country/region where you are located.

2. You can either do Option 1: Enter a serial number. You can find your serial number at the bottom on a Lenovo sticker and it will say S/N which usually starts with EB followed by 8 digit number


3. Or Option 2: Select a product. For Brand, select Notebooks. For Family, select Ideapad S12. For Type, just select All types.



4. Click Search and you will have the list of drivers for your system. Scroll it down to Audio and select the proper one.



5. To know which one is the correct driver, look at the applicable OS. For example, your OS is windows xp then select the 5th driver on the list.

6. Click on the driver and it will bring you to the next page.

7. Look for the Download Here and click on the exe file




8. You will get a pop-up for License Agreement so click on I Agree



9. Then it will give another pop-up to either run or save the file.

10. Continue on installation, click Yes to all top overwrite existing file.

11. Restart the computer once finished.

Try creating a new shortcut from the EXE file in program files, or access the program from the quick launch toolbar

1. Go to Start Menu and open Ease of access.
2. Under ease of access open "Use text or visual alternatives for sounds"
3. Uncheck "Turn on visual notifications for sounds (sound sentry)".
4. Click Apply and Save

To set your Quick Launch preferences, follow the steps below.
Click Start , type quick into the search field, and then select HP Quick Launch Buttons from the list to open the HP Quick Launch Buttons window.
Alternately, double-click the Quick Launch icon in the system tray to open the HP Quick Launch Buttons window.
Click the Preferences tab, if it is not already selected.
Select or deselect the checkbox(es) to set your personal preferences, click Apply , and then OK

Try to launch your programs directly from the installation directory, by default: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office

If you are able to launch them, it is only the shortcuts that are somehow modified.

If it's not the case, I recommend you to repair it with the installation disk.

Windows® Vista Error on launch:
“Director Player has stopped working” or “Macromedia Projector has stopped working” Most likely this problem is solved with the following steps:

1. Click the “Start” menu and launch “Computer” from the right hand panel
2. Navigate to the eMedia Guitar Master installation directory (typically this is inside your C: drive > “Program Files” folder)

4. Delete the file called “SequenceXtra_1_9.x32”

Launch Guitar Master. It should open properly.

try to clean your system with any good registry cleaner program... open the registry cleaner and remove all the instance of Adobe or acrobat or distiller.
