I have a GA-8IG1000mk mobo i also have no video output to monitor have tried another monitor, changed leads,Cleaned inside, checked all cables connected properly, reset CMOS,unplugged everything except major cables. but still no joy however, have just noticed that there is only one LED lit on mobo, which would be the RAM LED which is amber. The power light on front of Tower lights up as well as the HD LED. can you help?

Check the fsb on your proccessor and make sure you are useing compatible ram. According to the instruction manual 533mhz fsb processor won't work with 400mhz ram.

Get a video card and install it in one of the PCI or AGP slots and see if the MB will boot up. The onboard video may be bad and a replacement video card may get it up and running again.

  • Anonymous Mar 13, 2009

Try disconnecting all devices from the MB except the video card.

Remove power from all the drives....remove all pci cards...etc

Then try to boot again...if the PC will not boot after that the MB is likely bad....

You can also try to check the power supply voltages....

    try this:

GA-8IG1000MK power error fix?

Test your PSU or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up a computer hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your "((motherboard to your hard drive))" make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error hope this helps

I have tried 3 monitors on my pc and all of them give the same over-bright output but when connected to another pc the monitor is fine. is my on board graphics faulty

It could be one of two things, either the video portion of your motherbaord is faulty, or you have a graphics driver issue. I would look and try to download new drivers for your mobo, that might just fix your problem.

Pci x16 stopped output!

Washing the mobo? If this is not a mistake I will try to provide you with a coherent answer. Unfortunately, if you did in fact wash the motherboard, I do not believe there is anything I can offer.

CANNOT SET UP SLI MODE

So it sounds like you are able to enable SLI mode, but once you do, you have no video output (upon reboot). The most likely problem is that it's now in SLI mode, but your monitor cable is hooked up to the wrong video card; try changing it to the other video card, and see if you have output from that one.
