My home theatre system works fine one time; then the next it is sound free. Nothing changes wires are all secure. When it stops working - everyhing stops - DVD, CDs computer - absoluteley everything - not a peep. The CD unit looks notmal, the tracks cound up and the remote can be used to adjst the volume level on the unit - but no sound comes out. Any ideas?
After switching everhing off, it sometimes starts to work again, and then sometimes it doesn't. No apparenet reason why.

did you find a fix with that problem as i have the same issue when connecting Blue ray into BD port with HD cable! is the unit not able to handle sound and video on the bd port?
Use an optical cable and then it should work just fine. Just saw Avatar from my PS3 through the Samsung HT-BD2 and the sound was excellent.
So go and buy an optical cable :)
My problem is to get the BD2 to download updates. It doesn´t seem to work for me.
I bought the system samsung HT-TZ 422 but wireless receiver module is not connected spikers or not riding tx card.Sound test system is show all spikers but from wireless module is not hiring. When can i get any hepl. Thanks. Marek.
On the remote control for the Samsung Home Theater System look at the bottom left to a button that says "MODE", those moods change the sound each speaker gives off. if that doesn't work, you might need new wiring because there are other wires that are more durable than the ones that come with it, much better too.
then you have probably connected all wires from game system to your TV. what you need is, as I did in my case with a PS3, a optical wire from your game system to your samsung home theatre system. and also remeber to configure your game system to direct sound through the proper channel.
I fixed my subwoofer. The resistor at R16 (right next to the fuse) was the fried component. I removed it and replaced it with a 13K ohm 5 watt metal oxide resistor (from Mouser Electronics if not available locally). Works fine now. I got the solution and the circuit schematic from an audio hobbiest at diyAudio.com. This is, evidently, a fairly common problem.
