Updated driver for win xp sp3 (946gzts)

I have just installed win XP SP3 AND MY AUDIO DRIVER SUPPORTS ONLY SP2. I WANT AN UPDATED DRIVER FOR INTEL 946GZTS SIGMATEL AUDIO. PLEASE HELP IN THIS REGARD.

    i had tried for more than 5 times, but the sigmatel audio driver file is updated till sp2. i need an upated audio driver.

All drivers for ur board , i dont understand that ur driver does not support SP3 it is not like that Service Packs always comes with backward compatibility anyways try to install ur driver again and let me know abt the results otherwise i will try to find the updated version from some other sources pls rate me FIXYA for this if u like

    pls update windows first thru windows update service and install all recommended and optional updates it will include the updated driver if any

    pls try this driver if it works with ur audio card may be it work pls let me know i am searching for updated driver for u in the mean while
    have u updated ur OS thru windows update if not pls do it it will get new drivers automatically

Just scroll down the page for Audio drivers for both win XP and Vista,click on the blue version number to download the one you want.

Note : Incase you have win XP,some people has issues installing the xp driver with sp3 installed,the driver seems to work with only sp1 and sp2.So if u have SP3 and unable to install xp driver, do one of the following.
1) Uninstall SP3 and install SP2 and then try installing the driver for XP
2) Download Vista driver and install it with windows compatibility mode set to XP SP2.

Hello,

trust me, the fault is from the win xp SP2. I am saying this with confidence and out of experience. Except if the audio drivers you downloaded is for win vista.

While running the Win xp, some files make have skipped/not installed which is making the sound not to work. Or maybe you have initially installed a wrong audio driver.

To solve this problem. you have to re-run the win xp, if possible, use another xp Cd, maybe not Sp2.

After installation, let the audio driver be the fist thing you install.

About windows setup
Hi niket_shah, sorry but you're board Asus M2N-MX, does support Win XP SP2.
Chances are that while installing windows updates one or more updates failed. People like myself know from repairing PC's which updates need to be installed first. If you're Win XP SP2 did not or would not install than either the Win CD is not a valid Microsoft Win XP SP2 CD or (You have a copy) & there is something wrong with the CD. After a fresh (New install) of Win XP with SP2 there is more than 90+ updates for SP2 which must be downloaded through windows update program. Or you're windows will not function properly.
Just to show you what versions of windows the M2N-MX board does support. Click the link listed below. Once the link loads click the + sign next to Audio. Scroll down the page an notice the different Window version listed for you're board.

To recap this issue. The problem is either the WinCD or possibly you're hard drive. Make sure you allow windows to perform a full format before installing window. (Not a quick format).
