Question about Olympus FE-210 Digital Camera
This is the worst camera I have ever owned. There is nothing wrong with your batteries. The Battery Empty sign lights up even when I know they are full. It happens all the time with mine. I believe it to be the contacts in the battery compartment. When it happens, quickly undo the hatch and turn the batteries slightly and then reclose and turn back on. Hey presto your batteries are full again

Leave the baterries out for about 5 minutes and put them back in.

No repair for this one I fear. This seems as it has an internal short and this will not be repaired.

This is my second Olympus digital camera. The last one kept giving the "Battery Empty" prompt. I thought it was a unreparable problem so bought a new one. I bought the same brand because I wanted to use the same other equipment. My new Olympus 210 does the same thing. The batteries are good when tested so it does not seem that it is a battery problem. I have read suggestions to purchase rechargeables but hate to invest in them and a charger when others say it has not helped. Olympus must be aware of this since it appears to be a common and frequent problem with many of their models.
Just got the camera so I haven't tried solutions...but will probably just return it.
