This video will show you how to identify your 3e error code fault and replace the motor or carbon brushes

3E error code is a Motor tacho fault detected

Can also be caused by be main PCB

If the motor tacho signals are inputted less than 2 for 2 seconds after main drive motor started, this error will occur on normal brush motors and direct drive motors

Check carbon brushes if fitted
Check motor capacitor
Check motor
Check motor tacho
Check all connections and blocks to the motor
Check connections on the main control module
Check main control module

i have 7410 error call service. i tried to clean everithing en replaced the tone is almost full- still getting the error message.hat can i do. (fs-3900dn)

Actions:

1. Power cycle the printer by turning the printer off and then back on. Listen for motors.
2. Open the printers back panel and remove the fuser. Check for paper jams then reseat.
3. Check the toner cartridge and make sure nothing is hindering movement in the gear train.
4. Check the main motors cable to make sure it's seated properly.
5. If the error persists then replace the main motor.

The problem is not the fuser, is the main motor, you have to change it

For the error code "7a" to be fixed permanently, you need to ensure that the main PCB is fine and is working in good condition.
If the error code is caused due to malfunctioning of the main motor, then you need to check the whole setup by connecting it with another motor.
In this case, make sure that there is no mechanical load present on the main board.
While fixing this error code, you will notice that the motor runs slowly initially and then picks up the speed later.
