Yo rocket boy, you sound way too sure of your statement about how it is a damaged disc that is causing the Xbox 360 not to read the game!!!! I know your wrong, because i was having a problem with my console not reading GUITARHERO3. I cleaned the disc and console ,though neither needed that treatment and it still didnt work. So i drove down to WALMART and bought another brand new GH3 game , which comes out to a nice 60.00 bones.I carefully placed it in my expensive little xbox360.Why didnt it work Rocket girl? See, if i took what you beleive to be true seriously, I would go buy a third installment of GH3 and waste some more green backs! I am saying that it aint a scratched disc that is at fault cause i dont move my console around like a little dumb ass , while its running and im playing at the same time! Its the overly price console that isnt built solid enough to last a person years of enjoyment for there hard earned money fool. Get your head out of your ass ya know it all ****
Your system is fine, the disk is a different story. By moving your Xbox 360 the drive does some funky things. The disk probably has some deep grooves around the egde. In future, dont move the 360 or backup your xbox 360 games with http://www.everything4360.com

I am assuming you are referring to playing original Xbox games on your new 360. Halo was the only game from the box that you can play directly without needing to download the patch to play but supposed newer systems have the capability to play more directly out of the box.
Other backwards compatable games can be played but you will need a samll patch for each game. The game if playable will automatically attepmt to download the patch from xbox live. So you will need to have your Xbox 360 conected to live or have a patch disk. (which is available via the Xbox Magazine disk or can be downloaded online and burned to a disk)
all it is ur lens isnt in the correct starting position however its a little annoying when everytime u what a go of the xbox it takes about 20mins to get it to work but now iv fixed it properly well all i did is open the xbox comnpletly and get 2 dvd drive open it up i was shocked wen i opened up mine there was a dog on the lensand all over the whole grease on the bars were coverd in hairs i pulled the lens to the correct starting position and clean the dvd drive a best as i could amnd now it work perfect this will fix it because over time this method will take longer and longer trust me 3rd xbox
this relates to the key of the drive, you only ever get this error when the drive key does not match the motherboard key.
usually when someone has changed the drive of the xbox360 without keeping the original key and without that key, the xbox is just a very expensive DVD player.
try reseting the system in the system settings this, is sometimes caused by an update not downloading and or installing correctly. once you reset to default, try updating the system on xbox live. if this continues you might have a drive issue. good luck....
All dvd drives in an xbox360 are married to the motherboard. The new dvd drive needs to be flashed with the bin from the old drive in order for it to play games. We can do this for you if your interested email us [email protected]
