Ok....well i dont exactly know why my equalizer isnt turning on......

Basically i attached the red (12v in) to the same power as my car stereo so i didnt have to make another hole in the firewall of my truck, and i put the black (ground as everybody knows) to a ground in my truck that was already there. and the light for the power dosnt come on when the stereo comes on...which is in the accesory position with the ignition switch....i dont exactly know where to put the orange (it says remote) which i know what a remote wire does...which is turn it on remotely when everything else turns on....because i have no remote wire in my truck that i have found......if anyone knows where i can find the manual for this thing or knows what im doing wrong please by all means contact me. my email is [email protected] need an answer really bad cuz my whole stereo is in pieces right now and im driving around in it w/o music. also if it helps my truck is a 1988 f150 xlt lariat. thanks

If you have an amp in your truck, try and use the same remote wire that runs from your head unit to the amp.

Why won't my JVC KD-HDR car stereo turn on?

Has it ever worked before? If not, this could be a basic install issue. To bench test, combine red and yellow and run to 12V positive and Black to 12V negative to see if it powers up.

I replaced my ignition switch in my 98 k2 jetta and after my stereo won't turn on but will eject cds and insert them?

The red wire from the stereo is 12v signal, basically when you turn the key on it send 12v to the red wire to make your stereo come on. Everything else is fine since you can insert and eject cds. You may have pulled the signal wire loose when you changed the ignition switch, check the wires behind the radio and the wires to the ignition switch.

Got power to cd but no display

One idea that comes to mind is,if I remmeber correctly, that model has a removeable faceplate, try this, remove the faceplate, take some denatured alcohol on a Q-tip,clean the electric contacts on the back of the faceplate and also on the front of the deck where they mate together repeatedly for about 4 to 6 times letting them dry between each time that you swab them clean, then replace the faceplate onto the deck being sure that you are seatting the faceplate completely and properly.
This has worked for me sometimes and sometimes not, its worth a try.
Good Luck !

My pioneer deq-9200 equilizer keeps resetting to default settings whenever i start my engine. What's going on here?

The EQ has two power wires on the back like a head unit. One is constant power, and the other one is ignition/switched power. This normally happens when the installer takes the switched power and applies it to both power leads going into the EQ or head unit. The EQ needs the constant power line run to a 12V source that never turns off. The constant power line is normally yellow, and the switched power line is normally red.

I dont know which wire in the memory to connect it to my after ma

The memory wire is usually the yellow wire in the harness - it goes to a constant 12v (battery) source. That's how the cd player remembers all of your presets. The red wire (the other power wire) is connected to a switched 12v source, so it only sees power when the key is on. That is why the cd player shuts off when you turn the key off.

Connect 5 piece Sony seperates stereo system

OK, this is pretty easy to do. First connect your leads from the component outputs(i.e., tape, cd, phono, etc) to the recievers corresponding input for the device. Then connect the recievers outputs to your equalizer, if it is a seperate eq. Then the outputs of that to your amplifier, then your speakers to that. Be sure all of your wires are connected with the proper polarity. These instructions may be a little different for your exact setup but basically follow the same order minus any device you dont have.
