What is the usb port for and how do you work the sd port

that all depends on the model of your laptop, most current laptops have a slot for a standard sd card, if this is the case you will need a micro sd adapter.


if you dont have a port for an sd card you have 2 options, first you can buy a usb memory card reader (making sure it takes micro sd cards before you purchase) or, most mobile phones take the micro sd card so you can put it in your phone and either plug it into your laptop using a usb cable and try getting them that way, or if you can view the photos on your phone, bluetooth/email them across.

If you notebook does not have a built-in SD card reader, you can purchase an USB SD/memory card reader and connect it to the notebook's USB port.
When the SD card is inserted into the USB card reader the notebook will see the SD card as an external storage device. You can then copy files off this SD card to your notebook etc.

If you are using a laptop, do you see there is a port on the side of the computer which with a lot of icons? That port may support your memory card. Most laptop will have a port support SD and miniSD or MicroSD card. Otherwise you may need a SD to USB adapter which is a little box with about the size of your SD card or two SD card for a bigger USB circuit board on the other end. If you really don't like to step out to a computer store or radio shark, you can try to use that card on other equipment like camera and connect that to your computer.

laptops don't have remotes, and for the sd card reader unplug it from the laptop and try it in a different usb port if that does not work then i dont know. ive got an sd card reader and my laptop didn't find mine until i tried it in a different usb port

You need a micro SD card. This is the card that will slot into the top of your DSTT card.

You can also get a Micro SD card reader. You can purchase these from ebay etc cheap. all you then do is slot the MICRO SD card into the usb reader and put this into the usb port of your computer .this will then bring up a pop up menu. open as Folder.

The if you have created a GAMES folder all you have to do now is download a ds game and unzip it. if you dont know how you may want to download winrar. if you type this into Google you should be able to download this there and if you dont know how to use the program you could also get a tutorial for this on google also.

Once you have unzipped this game you will have a file call -------.nds
file. all you need to do now is right click and COPY go into the games folder on your micro sd card and paste the game into there.

go to control panel -device manager and see if you have all the latest drivers downloaded and if u dont then i would try and update them. if that doesnt work search up the specific driver u need online and download and install it.

Reinstall USB 2.0 drivers.

Reinstall your USB drivers:
Navigate to Device manager, find a branch named "USB Controllers" or similar
Right click the one thats the problem (or all of them if you dont know which), select Uninstall
Reboot your machine and windows will autodetect the USBs and reinstall their drivers.

I cannot get my desktop to find a driver for the e260, but if you use the SD microdisk you can load stuff to the microdisk if you have a card reader. You need to buy the full size SD card with the micro SD attached. Then sync the stuff you want to load and when you boot up your player, it will refresh the data base and you can play the stuff on your card. Seems a shame to waste 4 gigs of hard drive on the player, but I do not know anyone who has found a driver for the e260 that works with XP service pack 2. If you do please send me an email me.
