have the lazer cleaned its dirty go purchase a lazer disc cleaner from any electrical supply store that sells tv,s and dvd players .

The only way if to get an 8mm player from any friend or from any photography studios that does conversion of old tapes. These recordings can be converted only if they can play well and hopefully without deterioration due to magnettic fields and fungus. Check out on old stores or maybe some electronic freaks who would be glad to share and ,make a transfer. Use can use a good handy cam to record using the the composite signals of video and audio which can be transferred to DVD. Hope you are lucky to find one! Good day.

Make sure the audio cables (most likely the red and white ones) are securely plugged into the back of the player and your tv or amp whichever you are using. If that doesn't fix it try replacing the audio cables. If the problem still occurs see if the DVD has a mute function and make sure it is unmuted (this will most likely reset after a restart so it's unlikely the problem). If the problem still occurs the unit may need to be replaced or repaired.

Check the video-out cable. If loose, it can be "intermittent," thus cause image flicker.

What are the compatible types of DVD's that the Daewoo DVD5800 player is supposed to play? Is DVD-R among the compatible types? Try playing the new recordings on a computer that has a DVD drive, or a friend's computer.

only sony really supported 8mm look for any trv model cam on ebay etc and make sure you tapes were hi 8mm-not digital 8-digital 8 won't play on reg 8mm cam-need to get model that supports both formats then-trv480-look at tapes and if they say digital and/or hi 8 they may have been in digital and get the 480 it will work with both types

i just purchased a phillips dvd disc player & vcr combined and model dvp3345v/17 and it says we need a external tuner to hook this up. we have cable road runner without a box how can we hook it up? please answer fast as we are trying to hook it up now. [email protected]

you can open the dvd and clean laser you self

may be there is a lens problem wit your dvd player. check the lens once and replace it if its not proper.

Some pc DVD players will only play films from a certain region. It could also be the video codecs? Search for the all codec packs on the net as sometimes a film wont play unless its got the right codec. Also some companies dont like people to play films on their computer as they can be ripped to hard drive etc. Three answers that could the the cause of your problems, sorry i coudlan't be more help :-(
