I have the software and the cable.

The F-21 radio worked and I got the frequencies. The F21GM radio won't communicate. What would be the problem?

What are the default frequencies for the Motorola ex500

This radio does not have default channels. It is programmed with software to whatever channels are needed. You will have to take it into a Motorola shop to get it programmed or search the web for a programming cable and software.

I have programmed my pro164 scanner using win97 software and the pc patch cable. i have frequencies programmed to channels onto bank 0. i also programmed the desired talkgroups onto bank 0. problem is when...

you will have to buy the Radio Shack USB cable 20-047 and install
the driver for it and then I downloaded a program named
"Win97" from the www.starrsoft.com website as listed
on page 21 of the Pro-164 manual. The cable costs
$34.99 and with tax you are looking at about $37.88.

The "Win97" software must be registered for it to work
after a 30-day free trial period. That's approx $25.00.

This is the ONLY WAY to go !! You put in everything
on the software GUI and then upload it to the PRO-164.
Works like a champ .
but if you have tried doing this.i advise do it again.again run the program by connecting the cable again.if you have not tried it then do it again. if still the same problem.then it might be the problem with the scanner.get it rechecked from radio shack. there are many many users facing this same problem this particular model of radioshack scanner and other model in which this same problem occurs is pro-197. get it checked with radio shack.tech. This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya

How to get a Talkabout T5720 to communicate with a

The frequency range and operatngmode of the two radios are compatible. To get the Radius operating on a GMRS channel you'll need a Motorola programming cable and software, OR a trip to a Motorola dealer for frequency programming. Considering the cost involved, the 2-watt output of the Radius, and the 1-watt output of the Talkabout, you would be better off performance and cost wise buying a pair of 5-watt GMRS portables.

Problem with Vertex VX-820

Try "reading" the radio before programming it. It sounds like the programming software is using the settings from one radio to write to another. It's highly probable that the firmware is different on the two radios.

It's always a good idea to "read" a radio befor trying to 'write' to it..

Motorola SP50 Programming

The SP50 is dealer programmable. The software, cable and RIB (radio interface box) are necessary for programming this unit. If you are needing to match an existing unit, you can have the radio programmed at your local dealer or by shipping your radios to a service center. (Typically $15 to $25 US)

When looking for the second radio, be certain to get an SP50 with the same model number as your existing unit to ensure they will work together properly. Model numbers beginning with P93 are VHF and P94 are UHF.

Configuring audiovox GMRS1072CH walkie talkie

With the issue of 240V if the charger has not a Voltage switch, you will need to find another charger/transformer with the same Voltage/Amps ouput that works with 240V.

For Vox operations, this feature works independly form channel, you should choose the channel# and code # first, to match both radios, and get them communicate, then the Vox feature.
In Some radios the VOX feature works with an external audio accesory, in other radios works with out it.
Basically if this radios works without it, you should see that the radio transmist by itself when you speak direct to the radio, and stops transmiting 1 or2 seconds after you stop talking.

Good Luck.
