Question about Hyundai ImageQuest HQL260WR 26 in. HD-Ready LCD Television

Hyundai HQL260WR 26"LCD TV

Hi - Our TV is about 3 yrs old. The first problem was that horizontal stripes I hear other people mention appeared. Bolder on the left and diminishing to the right. The next problem was that it would not turn on either with the remote or at the tv. We called a technician to replace the power supply who said the horizontal lines would probably clear up. After complaining to them about the lines still being bold and bolder as the TV warms they took it back to re-diagnose. They said there are some lights they referred to as back lights and they said there was no source for the parts. The problem of the TV not turning on has returned but we remove the AC power cord and plug it back in and the TV turns on. Do you know of a source for Hyundai flat panel parts? Their customer support is non existent, at least in the US. yours truly bob grossman

Sansui HDLCD2612 LAST NIGHT THE PICTURE WENT WHITE WITH HORIZONTAL BLACK LINES..MAKES A BOOP BOOP BOOP NOISE one and a half yrs old no extended warranty. Is this a throw away

Firstly, the extended warranty is a very cheap insurance, because the labor could be as high as $168/hr. Instead of putting $200+ in this unit, I would purchase another with 3-5 yr warranty.

Insignia lcd tv model ns-ltdvd26 has sound but no picture, and appears to trip a circuit breaker after a couple minutes.this tv is 3 yrs old

the pic attached is an electrolytic capacitor, they come in different sizes and are usually blue, black and sometimes yellow. depending on manufacture.

most of the problems I have heard of tvs having problems with the electrolytic capacitors going bad. if you open the tv and see one of those swollen or leaking you need to replace them.

Hyundai ImageQuest HQL260WR PARTS

I may have one later if the customer decides not to replace the power supply (might ping me in a month). Otherwise I believe this unit is actually made by Samsung and parts are a little more common for Samsung. Do some digging around google and ebay and see if you find any more information.

Hyundai LCD TV HLT 3010 Pictue suddenly turns black but has voice

This is quite a common problem on LCD televisions.
It is not a fault you can repair yourself unless you are a competent electronics engineer.

One of the transformers on the inverter board will be the cause as the tend to go open circuit. Being surface mounted adds to the dificulty of changing this item as well.
