Door indicator prevents microwave from starting

When attempting to start the microwave using EasyMinute Start button, the microwave beaps three times and won't start. If I set the timer and press Start, the word DOOR is displayed on the front panel and the microwave beeps 3 times and does not start. How is the door open indicator detected? I replaced the electronic control panel but that did not work.

Thank you for the advice. The schematics helped a great deal. It showed that I had while replacing the control board, I inadvertently connected P2 instead of P8. The P2 connections are for control of the lower oven in a microwave/oven combination model.

    All set.

This is usually an indication of a bad door interlock. Take resistance readings with the power turned off on the primary and secondary interlocks. You will need to remove the control panel to access them. There should be a wiring diagram somewhere inside the control panel to assist you in determining if the interlock is normally OPEN, or normally CLOSED. As you open and close the door the interlock should change states. Additionally, double all your connectors to make sure they are plugged in correctly. I had a similar problem once and it turned out to be a loose connection on one of the interlocks. I hope this helps you.

Microwave let's you set the time to cook but when you press the button to start the process nothing happens

Try a power disconnect at the plug socket for 5 minutes. If that doesn't reset it, you will need a local repairer. The most likely reason is a door safety micro-switch has failed or moved out of adjustment. There are normally three on the door and hinges to prevent operation with an open door.

I have a whirlpool microwave WM1107ADWC and I want to turn off the Child lock. How can I do it? I don't have kids and i want to save time when I use my microwave. Thanks

Child locks on microwaves act as a safety feature to prevent children from getting harmed or from causing other possible damage. The child safety lock does not lock access to the microwave; it simply prevents the microwave from being operated. To remove the child lock press the Stop button three times.

Lock the microwaveIf you wish to re-lock the microwave, perform a similar procedure. Instead of pressing the Stop button you need to press the Start button. Press the Start button three consecutive times to lock the microwave. This enables the child lock once again and prevents the microwave from being operated.
check this video also. Many Whirlpool microwaves are made by LG. between these two you should get it.

When I attempt to use microwave it will sometimes not start from hitting the start button. The message on control panel screen say to open and close door. This does not work.

You have defective door switches, most of the time you have 3 of them. Should replace them all. But check to see if they work first..

My microwave GE model # JVM1440WH04 spacemaker has no heat coming out of it. My husband heated microwave lasagna in it last, everything works except for the heat, any solutions?

Push the microwave door tightly closed. The computer will not start cooking until the door is closed for safety reasons. Some models of microwave will give a warning on the screen if the door is open.
2

Ensure you have programmed a heat setting, entered a cooking time and pressed the "Start" button on the microwave's keypad. Check that the microwave is not set to "Defrost" mode.
3

Unplug the microwave and wait for one minute. This measure will reset the microwave's internal computer if it has frozen or scrambled. Plug the microwave back in and try again.
4

Ensure the keypad lock mode is inactive. Most microwave ovens have a lockout feature that prevents children from starting the microwave while unsupervised. Lockout mode is usually deactivated by holding down the button that bears a padlock symbol
