Mitsubishi vs-4543 The power light comes on for a second or two when you press the power button. You can hear a small relay click during the power on / off cycle. other than that the TV doesn't work.

Most likely the convergence output IC has shorted out and has overloaded the convergence power supply, which has stopped working. The computer senses that the convergence power supply is not running and shuts the set down. The convergence IC should be replaced, the power supply restored and the convergence circuits realigned by someone experienced in Mitsubishi projection sets. When I do a housecall for a set like that I charge $150, but shops in your area will vary so ask around.

I have a mitsubishi vs-50605 and when i turn it on the light comes on and clicks and the instantly clicks and shuts back off, I pushed the menu input buttons for five seconds and got one blink then two...

1,2 is no error detected---if during or before this you unplugged the set that clears the errors and you will get 1,2.

To confirm with set plugged in turn it on--when power light goes out repeat the self check.

Check for bad solder on convergence module. May have bad stk's. Do not neglect looking for bad solder on dsignal and defl boards. Mitsubishi is very prone to bad solder.
