Question about Cub Cadet Garden
You may have bumped the parking break button with your beer holder..while you were in reverse. the switch will jam because by default the blades should free spin in reverse unless you specify power . A safety idea flawed by design. You cant really tell. you have a light on your panel but it might be faulting . Run it engage pto. Then push release brake button..the one on the right while watching panel for a light go out or change. . Shut down tractor disenge pto....restart and finish that lawn

The switch is where you engage the mower. It is either a push pull button, or it is a lever that you move to engage mower. First follow the wires from the switch to see if possibly broken due to a flying sharp object which may have cut one or two. Due to the sudden stop this is what I would suspect. Good Luck Friend.

Check the wires to the seat switch. Under the seat you should find 2 wires connected to the seat. Unplug them, and use a jumper on the end that goes into the body of the mower. Try it again, and if it works, replace your seat.

One... these are pressure relif valves. There are O rings that probably need replacing is all, the valve can go bad but since both are leaking it will probably be just O rings from heat that went bad.
Remove the valves and replace O rings. Use a 'good' pipe thread dope on threads when re-installing.
Two... never use teflon tape on hydralic systems.
Three... boscia is no guro for sure.... lmao

SOURCE: mower cuts out
I would check the seat switch first. I had one that did that that ended up being a bad cell in the battery and a faulty charging system. Does it have an amp gauge on it to see if its charging ok?
One other thing....you say that it tries to stay running when you slightly depress the brake...is that including the pto? www.nnyparts.com

You can check the clutch by taking a wire from the ground and a wire from the positive side of the battery and energizing the clutch directly with the belt off to see if thats it. It could simply be a wire loose in the connection on the clutch....their soldered on.
