RCA 32V432T Hi, TV is 19mos old and has never skipped a beat. Last night I set the sleep timer for 60 mins, then my husband got up (he sleeps with it on), so without thinking I just went ahead and hit the off button on the remote, without adjusting the sleep timer. Tonight, it powers on, the standby light goes off and sometimes you can just catch the audio coming through when it shuts down.

It's possible that the power outage could have affected the TV's settings, including the sleep timer function. You may want to try resetting the TV to its default settings to see if that resolves the issue. To do this, you can usually find a "reset" or "factory reset" option in the TV's settings menu.
If resetting the TV doesn't work, it's possible that there is a software or firmware issue with the TV. In this case, you may need to contact Hisense customer support or bring the TV to a repair shop for further diagnosis and repair.

Other RCA VCRs have had problems with flashing timer lights. Those could be fixed with service from an electronics repair person if it doesn't stop even after being unplugged for a while. But, try leaving it unplugged for a few hours. If that doesn't work, the electronics repair might be the way to go, or get a different VCR on eBay or from the local thrift store for pretty cheap.

In addition to a Sleep Timer, many TVs have an Off Timer, too. Check for other automatic settings and timer settings. If you use the TV as a monitor for a computer, the sleep setting on the computer might affect the operation of the TV.

It may be a sleep function you could have accidentally set. Try browsing through your menu and find the sleep timer.

Programming the Sleep Timer:

1. Press and release the TV key.
2. Press and hold the SLEEP key for three seconds. The illuminated component name turns on.
3. Release the SLEEP key.
4. Using the number keys, enter the desired time in minutes (from 1-99 minutes). To set the timer to an umber under 10 minutes, first press 0 and then the desired number (e.g.,05 for five minutes). The illuminated component name blinks with each key press.
5. Once the second number is entered,the illuminated component name turns off.
   Tip Any key press other than the number keys is ignored. If you don't enter the sleep time within 10 seconds after pressing the SLEEP key, you must start over at step 1. The illuminated component name blinks four times and then turns off, indicating your attempt to program the Sleep Timer has been unsuccessful.
6. The Sleep Timer is now set.
7. Leave remote aimed at the TV. Once the Sleep Timer is set, you can continue to use the remote without affecting the Sleep Timer. However, because the timing mechanism for the Sleep Timer is built into the remote itself, the remote must be in TV Mode and pointed at the TV to activate the Sleep Timer.
   Note: If the ON·OFF key is pressed, the Sleep Timer is canceled.

try unplugging the tv from all imputs and power and let set over night then plug everything back in.

Setting the Sleep Timer The sleep timer allows your LCD TV to automatically turn OFF after a given amount of time. You can set the sleep timer using your remote control or through the onscreen display (OSD).
TO SET THE SLEEP TIMER USING THE REMOTE CONTROL
1. Press the SLEEP button on the remote control. The sleep timer appears at
the top of your screen.
2. Press the SLEEP button one or more times to select the time you want.
3. Press the EXIT button to hide the sleep timer display. Your sleep timer is now running in the background. The sleep timer will be hidden after 10 seconds.
