I TURN THE TV ON AND IT SHUTS BACK OFF 3 SECONDS LATER help!!!

I have the same problem. Only with mine, sometimes it won't even turn on. When it does, it has a red screen, then will turn off by itself after a few seconds.

There is a high voltage leak here, the reason it closes down is the protection mechanism isw trying to prevent more damage. better to turn it off and have it repaired before it catches fire or blows all the boards and becomes totally useless or beyond repair.

Sorry this isnt what you wanted hear but there is a safeyty factor involved here.

If you have a rear projection, it is the bulb. Ypou need to replace it.

Replace both of your convergence ICs they are STKs big black ICs will have part number on them.

t does sound like a bulb problem, either its over heating and shutting off to protect itself, or its already shot. Give a TV repair shop a call and see if they can give you an approximate price, then decide to ditch or repair it.

Tv turns itself off after bout ten seconds

Your over voltage circuits(hi-voltage and low voltage) are defective.When the voltage exceeds the specs it shuts off the tv.Unless your a service tech,you can't fix this.There are components on the main circuit tha t have to be changed.Sorry, no easy fix.

If it is the power LED that is flashing orange 2times every five seconds , it suggests that the Lamp Cover was not reinstalled correctly. Remove and reinstall it
