Warranty I want to know the warranty on this camera because i recently got one as a gift around Christmas 2006 and it has been working fine until yesterday when it would turn on but it would make this strange noise and it would start flashing the camera randomly for about 5 seconds then it would turn off. please help me. i want to see if i can get a new one. e-mail is [email protected] or [email protected].

Was the Camera registered on purchase? The warranty detail comes with the box/ that not withstanding if you can furnish camera detail -the item number, dater and place of purchase and contact customer support at Casio and they will take it from there

Turn coffee maker on but nothing happens.Its worked fine up to this point. It was a Christmas gift last year.

Just out of warranty eh?

This is how manufacturers make money out of you.

Most likely it is the heating element - may be able to replace that bit. Take it apart and check with a multimeter.

My camera comes on but goes right back off the zoom lens does not extend and I have changed the batteries twice. When I turn it on it make a noise like crickets and says goodbye.

mine just started doing this... I barely ever use it and got it as a gift for Christmas. I was just about to send it in but their warranty says they need a receipt or proof that it is with-in warranty. Ugh...

Daughter received camera as Christmas gift. Camera beeps three times and does nothing. I guess this camera is only good until the warranty runs out, 90 days. We have tried several new batteries and the expensive rechargeable type also. VERY UNHAPPY!!!!!

Canon will sometimes do a complimentary repair if you let them know you got it as a gift - when it's near the warranty. Give it a try: http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=SupportIndexAct&fcategoryid=203 Otherwise, the flash assembly is about $40 and labor would be around $85 for us to do the work.
