Warranty I want to know the warranty on this camera because i recently got one as a gift around Christmas 2006 and it has been working fine until yesterday when it would turn on but it would make this strange noise and it would start flashing the camera randomly for about 5 seconds then it would turn off. please help me. i want to see if i can get a new one. e-mail is [email protected] or [email protected].

If it is still under the warranty, send it to the manufacturer to replace and/or fix.

This is how manufacturers make money out of you.

Most likely it is the heating element - may be able to replace that bit. Take it apart and check with a multimeter.

mine just started doing this... I barely ever use it and got it as a gift for Christmas. I was just about to send it in but their warranty says they need a receipt or proof that it is with-in warranty. Ugh...

Daughter received camera as Christmas gift. Camera beeps three times and does nothing. I guess this camera is only good until the warranty runs out, 90 days. We have tried several new batteries and the expensive rechargeable type also. VERY UNHAPPY!!!!!

Holy cow! It is a 10 year old camera that cost no more than $50 new! Throw it away and buy another.

Sent it back under warranty- this has an internal fault.

Canon will sometimes do a complimentary repair if you let them know you got it as a gift - when it's near the warranty.
