Reinstalling software When I try to open the Olympus software, I get a message the serial number is missing and I have to reinstall the program. I cannot find a built-in uninstall utility. When I try to delete the folder "Olympus," I'm told it can't be done because a file is being used somewhere. I can't install over the old program and it cancels itself. What should I do? Thank you for your help!

Close down the computer. Reboot the computer go to Control panel Add/delete software - find the Olympus file and click delete. When done do not re install, but put the CD back in the box, Windows does very well without it. If you need an image editor download Picasa it free. If you want an image viewer Download Irfanview- that's free too. Software the comes with camera is always bet left in the box in my view

Use to work but now I get message: "This program can't start because mingwm 10.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

Uninstall.
Run Ccleaner to clean up the registry.
Reinstall.
Windows does not properly uninstall this program, and the trash left behind poisons the re-installation.

Reports.dll was not found

Re-install may help. It's saying the driver for that part is missing. Drivers control how the software or hardware operates. Best place is to contact Avanquest.com and ask for help.

Changing serial number after reinstalling CS3 Premium

On Microsoft Windows:

Click Start
Click Control Panel
Click Classic View
Click Add/Remove Programs
Scroll-down to Adobe CS3 Design Premium
Click it
Choose "uninstall" (or "remove") to properly delete the software.

Then, install the software.

Presumably, your Mac has a similar "uninstall software" option. Correct?

Foot switch will not respond.

The answer is all in the serial number you use to install the DSS player!

Look carefully and you will see the recorder disk has in my case an [E] printed above the install serial number and the transcription pedal has [T]

Install the same disk with the E the driver is there, the control in Control Panel is there, but the foot switch does not work with the software. Put in the serial number with the [T] and foot switch works first time!

If you uninstall the play and then reinstall with the [T] serial number you do not need to reboot or even unplug the foot switch from the USB.
