I have a fiat stilo 03 that used to have the same cd changer, I have bought a new one from ebay and the head unit wont recognise that it has been plugged in?
Yeah it's the same one it powers up and takes in cd's when you turn it on but I can't get the car to recognise that it's plugged into anything
I unplugged the battery as I was told by the seller that it would work although the radio stations were still set when it came back on so I don't think that that would make a difference. If the unit you replaced it with is exactly the same model as your old one and its the same head unit, then i would check the lead, try wiggling it and seef it recognises it, if not then someones sold you a dodgy cd changer from ebay

The head unit needs reprogramming with planet to accept the CD changer....... a main dealer or any good local garage should be able to help you with the software needed.
