Unfortunately they aren't interchangeable, sometimes power boards are in a situation like this but with main boards you need the same number...the 3642 stands for 42" (last 2 numbers) and the 3632 is for a 32"
Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis. http://electro-medical.blogspot.com/
To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.
The power amplifier chip (which goes "pop" when it goes bad) may be located on the board where the IR sensor is. Sometimes (but not always) you can make the TV come on by holding the power button in _until_ the TV comes on. But that usually only works when the chip is "going" bad. If you heard the pop, it's probably shot. Also, check for a fuse on _any_ of the boards, and possibly a main fuse at the back of the TV.
Hi,
First of all the power supply makes 'Stand By 5 or 3.5V which goes to main board. When we give power on command to the TV the main board sends 'stand by or Power ON' command to the power board which then makes other necessary voltage for the main board as well as other sections. If the power board does not receive 'Power On' command from main board, it will not produce the necessary voltages to operate the TV set.
there is main board defective please replace the main board 3 time blink is dc alert which is happened in side the system ic & we cant replace the system ic so we replace complete main board
you will need to check weather the 24vdc supply for the inverter board is good no drop voltage. if no supply check the power supply board. then you should check if their is a inv_on signal at the power inverter board around 3v-4.4vdc . if goes out during power on tried to disconnect the supply going to the inverter board to ensure if their is a shorted parts in the inverter board. if the inverter_on signal also goes out even with out inverter board connected that was mean you have problem in the processor board.
the problem its the main board of the tv not the power supply board.the main one controls all your imputs tv av component etc the cheapest place to find it its at www.shopjimmy.com cheaper than the manufacturer and those dudes that you find online that charge an arm and a leg just to come and just repair your old main board mine as well buy a new one at this site for less ok and you are welcome
