Hi. I own a Canon A530 digital camera. I need to buy anew memory card for it. I would like to know if I could use a 4GB SD card for it? Thanks in advance.

The A530 works with SD cards. It will not work with higher-capacity SDHC cards. You need to use SD cards, 2GB and smaller.

It's a good bet that anything 4GB or greater is a SDHC card (look on the card, see if SDHC is written there). Your A530 was designed before the new SDHC format came out. Sorry, but your camera will not recognize this type of card. Recommend instead that you get a 2GB standard SD card. They're relatively inexpensive these days.
