Question about Canon PIXMA iP90 Mobile Printer
Hi all I keep getting this error, the first couple of times, i took out the ink cartridge and replaced it and it worked, but now that doesn't work either. error number : 64 the following ink tank is not installed. color install the ink tank properly and close the printer cover I can't even do test prints, clean nozzles or anything thanks catada
Ok ,open your catridge door, use a flash light to see on the left side of the carriage. If there is plenty of ink, most probably black, you must go to your service person to clean it. Don't tell him your printer is not working, but tell him it need cleaning the excess ink on the carriage.

Sorry, but are you putting the colour and B&W in the correct place? When you put it, do you get the tough clicking sound? I too had this problem many time, but this way i solved it. Try.Don't loose patient.

It's because you touched the connection side of the cartidge. Clean it with some contact cleaner(or surgical sprit)and let it dry.If possible clean the printer side of catridge contact. After both are dried well, put the catridge back.it must work.

nah sorry didn't work.
It still has the same problem.
I cleaned both contacts, on the cartridge and the unit, made no difference,
Then I tried putting in another new cartridge as well, to no avail.
It has been bounced around in an old landrover, I don't know how much these 'mobile' units are supposed to be able to take. Recently we were on corrugated dirt roads in Western Australia which shook the b'jeebas out of everything.
But still I would welcome any other suggestions
no the cartriges are in the right place and they click in fine.
thanks
i think you must be looking at a different printer
With mine you can't put the cartridges around the wrong way as one is big and one is small,
and the ink pad is not on the left, it is on the bottom?
