Question about Samsung YP-K5 MP3 Player

MP3 Player My MP3 Player will not charge. I think it needs a new battery. If someone has experience this problem, please help. Also is the battery easy to change and can I buy a battery locally in Southern California or do I need to go to the manufacture for support.

What is the model number of your unit? If your unit is a K5 MP3 player, basically there are no other way to change the battery of your device the only way to fix it is to send it back to SAMSUNG.

dear, you do not mentioned that how long stand by your battery gives you after charging.
and if your mp3 every showed battery full after charging.
well since your mp3 player is new, it must not have any problem in battery, i think your charges has some fault. Go to the shop where you purchased your mobile.
they may make it for free.

if your battery shows charged full, and gives a long stand by, then your battery is 100%good.
you need to change your charges, or an integrated circuit which help to keep charging you mp3 player., this circuit defines how long it have to take to charge you mp3 player.

Apparently your battery is dead.. Just install a replacement battery and it will be alright. If I am not wrong this player uses 3V, 1200mAH battery. Please verify before buying the replacement. It should cost you around 15-20$

By experience I know that problem...some might suggest you to change the charge wire?I don't thing it would help.

Sansa E250 Battery Low always when charged fully
is it connected properly?there should be a green line going back & forth on a "battery" if the battery is no good,theyre cheap on Ebay.Make sure its new,check shipping costs as they vary.Open up the back-4 screws.Lift out battery.FULLY recharge.Very easy.

If you are using the same charging cable, you might check the cable. Borrow a friends cable to see if you can charge and if you can charge with someone elses cable, buy a new one for yourself.

Iriver H10 20GB
They don't make a battery for the player. My experience with iriver is that they only replace your player with another refurbished one if it's under warranty. Contact iriver.com and go to support, they will help you to a certain point. Sounds like some music files are corrupted, did you download them from Limewire? Lots of nasty stuff out there. Remember your player is a Hard Drive just like your PC and can be damaged by improper disconnect from your PC. Regards, John H.
