Power off Cable Modem, PC, router, and then disconnected them. Directly connected Cable Modem with PC (Don't connect the router) and power on Cable Modem. When Cable Modem is ready with LED lamps under normal status, also power on PC and try to access Internet service. If Internet service is resumed, please study the router setting of Cable Modem which referred to router's user manual.

SOURCE: Point to Point T1 Using Cisco 2800 Routers?

Are you trying to set up router ?
You can set up your router manually, without the CD.
Make sure that your computer is able to go online directly through the modem.
If your computer is able to go online through the modem, that means the modem is working fine.
You will need to connect the computer to the router and the modem to the router.
open the set up page of the router and change the settings of the router according to the ISP.

Why is my Linksys EA 6500 displaying "SSL Connection ERR"?

It is probably not the router but your OS.
Try and run a SSL Fix program to correct the OS.

Linsys ea6500 blinking

If the Power or Diag LED (Light Emitting Diode) on your Linksys router is blinking, it means the firmware is corrupted. If this happens, you won't be able to do the following:
• Access the router's web-based setup page
• Assign IP addresses to computers connected to your router using its DHCP capabilities
NOTE: This also applies if your router's LED is dimly illuminated.
Listed below are the things that you can do to solve this issue:
Powercycle the router
Assign a static IP address to your computer
Ping the router
Reset the router
Update/Re-flash the firmware using the TFTP utility

The installation CD is not available online, but if you have the manual you can perform all actions manually. If you have lost the manual, one is available here (check your version - found on the data label) for download: https://support.linksys.com/en-us/support/routers/EA6500

Can't connect to the internet

If your Linksys is setup correctly it may be your computer? Verify ALL cables/connections to and from the Linksys. Have you verified, with a Ethernet cable, from the Linksys to the computer, the you can connect? We want to eliminated the possible issues, If you can connect using a Ethernet cable , we know the Linksys is setup properly. Then we move to the computer. I need the Make, Model of computer and the OS you are using.
