Need help with Media Player

I am unable to play video files with my Imate Kjam media player 10. It does supports MP4 but when I try to play it, I get an error that says "Cannot play ... Format not supported" . Please let me know what formats do the player supports and if i can upgrade it. Thanks SAM

i have downloaded (philips platform4mobile). it didn't work properly, so i deleted it. since then, i can't browse my media files by file explorer.

i want to go back to the original platform without formatting my device

How to play mp4 video

Make sure that your handset supports mp4 videos.
You can play 3gp videos in your handset.
If your handset supports mp4 videos, then set your mp4 video's frame rate, bit rate and resolution.

CANNOT PLAY A MP4 VERSION MOVIES

Hi There,

You would need a media player that can support *.mp4 videos - I highly recommend VLC media player. it's free, fast and supports other movie files. You can get it here :

Just click on "Download VLC Player Now" to copy the installation files. After downloading, open the file and follow the onscreen prompts until it's complete.

Iomega comes up with this message when trying to play certain MP4 files on the "TV cannot play this media (bad container)" however the files play fine on a pc/laptop

Can't play mp4 files

The mp4 files must be maximum 320x240 resolution, any larger and it will tell you that the file is not supported. If the mp4 is created with any profile other than "AVC Baseline" it will tell you the file is corrupted. It also won't do DRM, but I can't remember what, if any, DRM systems typically get used on mp4 files.

Warning File Format Error

It seems that your trying to play a video that the media player does not support. The video works on your computer because the computer supports many more video file formats that the media player does. Make sure that the video your trying to play has a .mp4 file extension after the file name, meaning that it is a mp4 file. Try another known working mp4 video file.
