I want to increase speed of my epson lq300 esc p2

Change emulation from PR2 to ESC/P2

It seems the LQ 1170 was supported with the EPSON Universal P6 Printer Driver 1.1.0.10 2.0.0
.. up to Windows 7 but no further.

It seems the only likely solution is to just try plugging the printer in and crossing your fingers. If it installs the simple driver you're in luck.

Given the age of the printer and that driver specific support for the model was discontinued pre-Windows-XP it's unlikely other solutions will arise.

Windows 7 x64 & LQ-570+ ESC/P2 @EJL solution (should also work for other printers/OS, but not tested yet):


Try modifying .dpg file.

STEP 1:
Print the windows test page.

STEP 2:
There should be written the location and name of the file (Data file), so print the test page and look up the file path. It is located in the sam folder as dll (config file). In my case it is in "C:\Windows\system32\spool\DRIVERS\x64\3\".

(Sience I coulden't find x64 driver for LQ-570+ ESC/P2 I used LQ-590+ ESC/P2 Ver 2.0 driver. It's working ... )

STEP 3:
Now, when you found .GPD file, (make backup copy just in case) you have to add your computer account to list of accounts that has full controll of file or you won't be able to save changes.

STEP 4:
Delete only @EJLl 1284.4 and @EJL in line that looks like that:
*Cmd: "<0000001B01>@EJL 1284.4<0A>@EJL <0A1B>@<0D1B>t<011B>6<1B>R<001B>P<1B>(U<01000A>"

(If you delete anything else at that line it won't work ...)

STEP 5:
Save file an enjoy printig :P

i have epson lq1150 II esc/p2 its attached very well with computer.after 2,3 printouts it become dead every day.my consultant engineer also confused by the proble. if some sepecialist to soleve the problem,Kindly send me mail on my id [email protected].

Necessary you driver are found with system Windows If say in other words, that they already recorded on your hard disk.
System Itself will find them for you during process of the installing the printer.
Exist for Epson Stylus 400 ESC/P2 Also for for Epson Stylus Color 400 ESC/P2 You simply it is necessary to install printer manually through menu
1) Control Panel
2) Printers and faxes
3) Add printer
4) Next, Next, Next
5) you must choose brand "Epson" and your model of printer.
6) Next, Next .............

pls check the manual of your printer if it is compatible in your O.S. Vista.. if yes, maybe some programs are conflict.. try to re set up yup O.S. then Install the printer driver.. ^^ don't forget to install your motherboard driver before installing the printer..

You need a compatible driver to link the printer. Check online for driver compatability with older OS.

>click on add a printer
>select the port (LPT1)
>select the manufacturer (EPSON) then on the right-side of the window, scroll and search for your product
