The usb ports work fine, but when I try to use the headphone jack, it does not work...I'm wondering what I can do to get this function to work because it is convenient and I do not have a headphone jack on my speakers, so I have to pull my desk forward everytime to plug the headphones in...please help.
I have installed vista home edition on my pc and my headphones seemed not to be working on either the front nor on the backside green jack, the microphone are working fi9 and the external speakers are also working fi9...there is no problem with the headphones coz they were working properly earlier when i used windows xp,but now whn i have installed vista on my pc,its not detecting my headphones in any case....pls help!!!!!!!!!

May I know if have tried alternate headphones and if they are the same?Does the headphone work when wiggled within the port if yes then the issue is with the headphone jack being loose and you would need to send the computer for a repair if covered by the manufacturers warranty as the headphone jack needs to be replaced.
Thank you for your time.
Please clarify, Where is the Headphones connected? Front or back? if you tried it on the Front port without success, Plug in the speaker jack to the port where you did connect the Headphone and verify it's working or not. You can also try the headphone on the port where the speaker is connected.
