What needs to be replaced if it can be fixed at all?
All electronics is destroyd by dirty water, or saltwater, any eletronic attched to it, may not be destroyed exept from, if it is directly attached to that component that went defekt, by if the comonent do lead power as higer voltage than it usuaky was ment to supply! Therefor, a harddrive, is NOT directly connected, therefor it may in 99% of the time, not be affected, allso sutch as videocards, soundcards and others! Caus this components draw its voltages directly from the powersuply, not via mainboard!

If it does not power on the motherboard and the keyboard should be replaced. If it got wet with anything but water it usually has a corrosive action over a period of time so it could be worse. We have seen systems get hit by cola drinks and it ate the circut etchings off the memory modules as well as the motherboard.

ok, i tried turning it on for the first time after 1 week of waiting for possible water to dry up. (advice i got from friend) as a result, small white smoke started to appeared and burnt smell occured. fearing i was about to start a fire, i yanked the battery out. (not sure if that was good idea or not) took laptop apart and to no surprise at all found burnt spots all over the motherboard. so my question is now, besides the motherboard and keyboard, do you think that everything else is ok? I hooked up the harddrive to my pc and it works fine amazingly.
