Blackberry 8830 world edition wont come on at all.

I purchased my blackberry 8830 a little over a year ago. I have not used it in about 8 months. I wanted to reactivate my phone again and realized that my phone wont power on at all. I bought a new battery thinking that maybe it had died from sitting so long. No luck at all with the new battery, it still does the same. I plug it in directly to a charger and it doesnt do anything. The LED light wont even come on. What could be the problem?
