May be a defect but, if you notice the sound changes with different channels or movies or HD or Standard, look for a volume limiter control button in the menu setup under audio control. Sometimes the menu has a control that you can turn on to limit different volume levels during the shows origination.

Samsung soundbar

Hello,

I have found that most channels broadcast at different volumes, more so when it comes to commercials. Something I will never get used to, but we can do nothing about. You might be able to find someting in the audio menue of either your TV or Sound bar that will help some . . .

Bass sounds are extremely loud and distorted. Do I have to send the set in for repair under the warranty?

If you can't adjust correctly bass, at a comfortable level and without any distortion, for sure you should return it on warranty!

The sound on my emerson isn't very loud while watching tv or movies, but is extremely loud while playing video games

There could be a setting on this model in the menu to set the type of scene you are watching...like movies, sports, etc. Sometimes these settings will affect the sound. Also check all that is included in your sound menu. Test each setting in the sound menu.

Sound at 50-70 is not that loud. we have another model same size and samsung that is extremely loud at 25.. i dont understand

Speakers sometimes become damaged when going at high levels from low levels and just switching like that..... This may be the cause for it to be kind of low.... Best not to turn it all the way up or it might just blow the speaker fully..... You may have a a volume limit set on it.... Check that, it might be not allowing your speakers to play any louder.... Otherwise, it is best not to have your speakers blaring, just have them kind of low, and your ears will adjust.... People lose hearing when they have their TV's turned all the way up and all loud... Plus it just kind of disrupts the peace of a home :) Good Luck :D

Sound on my rca tv

I wonder if your problem with loud volume occurs primarily on commercial breaks, when you turn down
the sound and then, since the sound, for the program itself, is so low in volume, you have to turn it way
up again to enjoy the program?

If this is the case, and there are no other problems with the set, this may not be the set's problem, but the
fact that commercial material is broadcast at a higher volume than program material by some outlets, so
that while you are in the kitchen, during commercials, the sound of the commercial can still be heard.
