They work on one but not the other. they worked earlier today.
Check and replace the infrared sensor inside the faulty TV. If you wish to get more details, check this site. Pull up older posts there. Check the site with patience, as it has over 2300 posts now. I think you mean Hughs when you're referring to your direct Tv remote? And you want that remote to turn on/off your Sylvania Tv, right?
I'd need to know the Hughs model number on the remote to know if it's a four or five digit code requirement. But here's a site that might help. http://www.remotecodelist.com/remotes/
Scroll down to Hughs and that link should take you to the DTV site where they have a wealth of info regarding codes. Find your model number remote control and you should have a list of possible codes to try.
